Forge Terms

These terms are the agreement between your business and us for using Forge. Please read them before you sign up. The Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Addendum form part of these terms.

1. What Forge is

Forge is an online workspace for running your business’s work: tasks, records, forms, documents and files. You and your team use it in a web browser, and you can connect an AI assistant of your choice so it can work in your workspace with your permissions.

Forge is for business use. By signing up you confirm that you are using Forge for your business, trade or profession, and that the person accepting these terms has authority to do so for the business.

2. Your AI assistant

You bring your own AI assistant and account (for example ChatGPT or Claude). That assistant is provided by its own company under its own terms, and its charges are yours to pay. When you connect it, what you ask it and what Forge sends back pass through that provider. We are not responsible for the provider’s service, its availability, or what it produces.

Your assistant can only do what your Forge account is allowed to do. You are responsible for what it does in your workspace, and for checking its work before you rely on it or send it to anyone.

3. Accounts and people

• The person who creates the workspace is its owner and manages billing and who has access.
• Each person must have their own login. Keep your login details private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used them.
• You are responsible for everyone you give access to, including through share links and public forms.

4. Price and seats

Forge costs £25 per seat per month, excluding VAT. VAT is added where it applies. Your AI provider’s charges are separate and are not on our invoice.

A seat is one named person with ongoing access to your workspace, including the owner. Each person counts once, whatever their role and however many devices they use. Invitations that haven’t been accepted, guest share links and service tokens are not seats.

Before you add a person, we show you how your monthly total will change. After your trial, if you add someone part-way through a month, we charge for the rest of that month on a pro-rata basis. People added during the trial are included in your first payment on day eight. If you remove someone, the change applies from your next monthly payment date, as long as you remove them before that date.

If we change our prices, we will tell the workspace owner by email at least 30 days before the new price applies. You can cancel before then if you don’t want to continue.

5. Free trial

New workspaces get a seven-day free trial. You add a payment card when you sign up. The trial starts when your workspace is created, and we don’t charge the card during those seven days. We show the exact date and time your trial ends.

If you don’t cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription starts automatically and we charge your card when the seven full days are up, on day eight. After that we charge monthly on the same day of the month for the seats you have.

6. Payment

You pay monthly in advance by card. We send a receipt for each payment, and a VAT invoice where VAT applies. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we don’t see or store your full card number.

If a payment fails, we will tell you and try again over seven days. If it still hasn’t been paid after those seven days, your workspace becomes read-only and the rules in section 8 apply from that point.

7. Cancelling

The workspace owner can cancel at any time in Forge. If you cancel during the trial, you keep access until the trial end time we showed you, and you won’t be charged. If you cancel after that, you keep full access until the end of the month you’ve paid for, and we don’t renew it. We don’t give refunds for part-months, except where the law requires it.

8. When your access ends

Your access ends when a trial ends without continuing, when a paid month you’ve cancelled runs out, or seven days after an unpaid payment (see section 6). From that point:

• Days 1 to 30: you can still sign in to read and export your data, but not change it.
• Days 31 to 60: we keep your data but you can’t sign in to it. Contact us if you want to restart your subscription.
• Day 60: we delete your workspace data. We email the owner 14 days before this happens.

Some copies are kept for longer in our encrypted backups and security records, as explained in the Privacy Policy and section 8 of the Data Processing Addendum.

9. Your data

You own the content you put into Forge. You give us permission to store, process and display it only so we can provide Forge to you. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use your workspace content to train AI models.

Where your workspace contains personal data about other people, you are the controller of that data and we process it for you under the Data Processing Addendum. You can export your workspace at any time while you have access.

10. Share links and public forms

Forge lets you share documents through links and collect information through public forms. Anyone who has a share link can open what it points to without signing in, so only share links with people you intend to see the content. You can turn off a share link at any time.

11. Acceptable use

• Use Forge lawfully and in line with these terms.
• Don’t try to reach workspaces or data you haven’t been given access to, or get around Forge’s security, permissions or activity records.
• Don’t upload content that is unlawful, infringes someone else’s rights, or that you aren’t entitled to hold.
• Don’t use Forge to send spam, spread malware, or disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the service.

12. Support

Forge is self-service. We provide a setup guide and help by email with signing in, connecting your AI assistant, and faults in Forge. See the Support page for how to contact us. Support doesn’t include building your workflows for you, moving your data from other systems, or custom development. We aim to reply promptly but don’t guarantee a response time.

13. Changes to Forge

We keep improving Forge, so features may change, be added or be removed. If a change significantly reduces what you’re paying for, we will tell the workspace owner in advance, and you can cancel.

14. Availability

We work to keep Forge available and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may need to take it offline for maintenance, and problems outside our control can affect it.

15. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.

Otherwise, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period, including under the Data Processing Addendum, is limited to the greater of £1,000 and the amount you paid us for Forge in that period.

You are responsible for checking the work your AI assistant produces, for keeping your own copies of important data, and for the decisions you make using Forge.

16. Suspending or ending the service

We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if you don’t pay, or if we need to protect Forge, its users or the law. Where it’s reasonable, we will warn you first. We may also stop providing Forge altogether by giving the workspace owner at least 30 days’ notice. In that case we will refund any payment for time after the service stops, and you will have the export period in section 8.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For significant changes, we will email the workspace owner at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using Forge after that, the new terms apply.

18. General

These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Addendum are the whole agreement between us about Forge. If a part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
