Getting started
What Forge is
Forge is a workspace for work that needs a durable home. It brings together tasks, files, forms, records, templates and documents. You can work in Forge directly, or connect an AI product you already use so the agent can help with the same workspace material.
What this changes
A task can keep the request, next steps, decisions, facts and attachments together. Forms collect repeatable information. Tables hold structured records. Templates and documents make repeat outputs consistent. This gives people and agents a shared place to read the current work instead of rebuilding context from separate chats and folders.
Your agent works with the Forge account and workspace access you approve. It cannot see a workspace you cannot access, and a connection does not replace checking a proposed change.
Start with one workspace
Choose a workspace from the Forge sidebar. Read its active tasks and available pages before creating anything new. If you plan to use an agent, connect it first, then begin with a harmless read of the workspace.
Prompts to try
Show me the workspaces I can access. For this workspace, summarise its active tasks, useful pages and recent files. Do not change anything.
Find the task I should work on next. Summarise its goal, open steps, facts and attachments, then wait for my direction.
Next steps
Use a task for work in progress and its evidence. Use workspace knowledge for a fact that should outlive one task. Start small, read the result back, and make a change only when the target and outcome are clear.
